The Dreamer: Kodjo Adovor

Kodjo is the Founder and CEO of Kevi Capital. Kevi Capital LLC is an investment fund focused on infrastructure development and investments in Africa. Specializing in  university student housing development, real estate related debt instruments, and private debt placements in mid-sized companies in Africa.

Kodjo has 15 years of experience across investment banking and management consulting. Prior to joining to starting Kevi Capital, he was VP  of Commodities and Credit Derivatives Product Valuation at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

In his free time, he is a wine sommelier and is currently a Certified Vinitaly Italian Wine Ambassador. He also enjoys long distance road biking with major biking events including 177 miles from Houston to Austin and 210 miles from Paris to London.

Kodjo is a co-founder and co-Host of the Impact on Record podcast which engages in conversations with impact investors, social entrepreneurs, and the impacted.

Kodjo is currently a 2018 MBA Candidate with a focus in Asset Management at the Yale School of Management. He holds an MS degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and BS in Physics from Hampton University.

The Skeptic: Jenny Chan

Jenny Chan is a cofounder of Impact on Record. She is the Senior Investment Officer for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. The foundation manages $1.8 billion. Prior to 2007, Jenny led the research effort covering hedge funds and funds of funds at Canterbury Consulting. Prior to that she was a VP of a quantitative focused fund of funds. Jenny began her career at Salomon Brothers Inc., followed by Deutsche Bank and later Moore Capital. She has over 22 years of experience in financial markets with over 18 in alternative investments. Jenny earned a BS in Finance and Accounting from NYU. She is in the MBA for Executives Program Class of 2018 at Yale School of Management with a focus on Sustainability. Jenny is a CAIA charter holder and a SASB Level II candidate. She was recognized by CIO Magazine on their 2015 Forty Under Forty list, and in 2016 by Trusted Insight as one of their Top 30 Foundation Rising Stars and Top 30 Women Rising Stars in Institutional Investing. Jenny is a member of the Advisory Committee for the CAIA and a member of several sustainable/impact investing industry groups.​

The Realist: Kristina Whyte

Kristina Whyte is an MBA student at Yale School of Management, class of 2018. During her time at Yale Kristina completed an internship at NewWorld Capital, a private equity firm that invests in clean energy and green technology. Kristina participated in MIINT, an impact investing student competition, sourcing Blockchain companies. Prior to business school, Kristina worked in the Finance department at the Wallace Foundation, whose mission is to provide funding to education and arts programs for children in underserved areas. Kristina started her career in public accounting and financial services, working at Ernst & Young, Deloitte and Morgan Stanley. Kristina is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Temple University, Philadelphia PA.

Kristina is the co-founder and host of Impact On Record, a podcast about impact investing, which engages in conversations with impact investors and social entrepreneurs. At Yale Kristina sits on the Yale Black Business Alliance board, promoting the awareness of cultural and social issues. Since 2015 Kristina has been a board member of College Summit ELC, which helps underrepresented high school students apply and graduate from college. Kristina is a 2017 Princeton Emerging Leader Fellow, emerging leaders in Philanthropy. Kristina was the Finance Chairperson of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, NY a network of professionals promoting social justice and racial equity. Kristina volunteers for various events with the Pike Past Students Association, which aids underserved children in Jamaica, WI and Brooklyn, NY.
